Funding Sources for the Regional WWTP

Original Funding Package

  • Water Infrastructure Improvement Act (WIIA): $12,500,000

 

  • Water Quality Improvement Program Grant (WQIP): $1,000,000

 

  • Local State Assistance Grants: $250,000

 

The total projected cost for the project is currently estimated at $53.5 million. The WCWSA has secured a funding commitment from the NY State Environmental Facilities Corporation (EFC), along with the following grants: a $12.5 million-dollar Water Infrastructure Improvement Act (WIIA) grant, a $1 million-dollar WQIP grant through NYS DEC, and a $250,000 Local Aid State Assistance grant which was secured by New York State Senator Pamela Helming, supported by New York State Assemblyman Brian Manktelow.

  • Intermunicipal Grant (IMG) Application: $30,000,000

 

  • Water Quality Improvement Program Grant (WQIP): $1,000,000

 

  • Local State Assistance Grants: $250,000

 

The total projected cost for the project is currently estimated at $110 million. The WCWSA has applied for a new funding package from the NY State Environmental Facilities Corporation (EFC), a $30 million-dollar IMG grant. This is in addition to the funding we have already secured, a $1 million-dollar WQIP grant through NYS DEC, and a $250,000 Local Aid State Assistance grant which was secured by New York State Senator Pamela Helming, supported by New York State Assemblyman Brian Manktelow.
